It is always "solid" which does not show the edge lines, at least when I do it. Also, it would be nice to have a background color of "no fill" so your 3D image can overlap the background without the rectangular background. I was very impressed with Sketchup's Layout and how the 3D images do not have a background and can overlap without a rectanglar background.

We are still trying to figure out how to send the edge lines properly. Adobe chose the U3D format for their 3D viewer, and we have to use the format. It can be done. But the software we use to fill it does not let us set the edges properly, but we will continue to try to find a way to do it.

We will also keep our eye open to see if there is a way to put a background image (or continue a background image) into the 3D area.
