We were not able to find anything in the PDF documentation on how to enable comments. And we were not able to enable comments using our (older) version of Adobe Acrobat.

If you have a PDF file somewhere that enables comments send one to:

al.hart@renderplus.com

(The smaller the PDf file the better :) )

and we will figure out how to do it.

(If you have adobe acrobat and can turn this on for PDF files, make us one with comments enabled and one without comments enabled)

Thanks

Perhaps I wasn't clear about which comment box I was referring to.

The "Comments" tab in a .pdf lists information about the yellow "notes" that the user writes. These are useful in their own right (although they seem to go behind the 3d model) but not what I was referring to. I was referring to the white space in the model tree below the view field. The current view appears at the top as if it is a title, and there is a cursor like I should be able to write comments I but can't. I think it would be very useful if the creator could save a short paragraph under each view explaining what is being shown. This makes it easy for the designer to send views and comments of specific details to the client, and then allows the client to interact with the model to further examine the detail.

The screenshot below shows the yellow notes and the "comments" tab on the bottom (which I am not so interested in), and the blank field in the model tree on the left that I am referring to. Does this clear anything up for you?

AHA - I see now.

We will look for this.

(If you have a PDF file with these comments avaiable, please send it to me. It is easier to find things in the documentation when we have a working sample.)

We've been pouring through the documentation, and loading 3D PDF models from adobe or other sources to see if anyone is using view comments.

But we haven't been able to find any yet.

If anyone is aware of these, please send us a sample or a link to a web page.

Thanks,
