Could you please advise on the following:

1. I am unable to create a PDF that opens at 100% size. It always opens at 146% and which means receipients have to reduce the size before proper viewing which distracts from the task at hand.

2. Settings keep reverting to a preset. I use verdana and a blue font. If I import a new model, the setting resets to Times Roman etc. I want to be able to create and save my own preset. Image quality resets to 75 for each new task, it would save a step if I didnt have to reset it to 100 everytime.

3. Compatibility with SU 7 would help.

4. The task bar with icons for image manipulation [pan, rotate etc] interferes with the text placed in 'Introduction', hiding it unless the cursor is removed from the 3D area.

Raj

The latest version., IA16p, should work with SU7.

We don't know how to control the initial zoom of a PDF file. If you have any other PDF files, from other sources, which do zoom properly when you open them, send us one and we can see how they did it. (Whenever anyone sends me a PDF file, it seems to open at a random zoom).

This may also be a setting in PDF reader. I see an option under preferences for zoom - which defaults to automatic. You can change this - but it may not help your users.

In order to have the taks bar not interfere with the text, you will have to leave some blank lines in the text.

Hi Al,

What about Point 2.

Also, where do I download IA16P from. Will I have to uninstall the previous 3d PDF? Will the original license work?

Thanks
Raj

Oops - I forgot #2 - Rich will have to look at it on Monday.

You can download new versions of RPS software from this page:

Downloads (http://www.renderplus.com/htm/download.htm)

If you get tired of filling out the form, you should bookmark the downloads page.

We posted a new version, Version IB23p, which fixes the problems of not using the last fonts and JPEG resolution, when you start a 3D PDF for a new drawing.

We also fixed the problem that we weren't listing the last SketchUp file saved in the SketchUp File box, if you were using SketchUp 7.

We haven't learned yet how to make a PDF that always opens in 100% display mode. We have asked PDFLib support if it can be done.

Raj ,

Do you have a PDF that does always open at 100% zoom?

Hi Rich,

I'm not an expert in software development, but this link may be of some help - http://tgaw.wordpress.com/2006/07/24/pdf-open-parameters/ .

Also http://partners.adobe.com/public/developer/en/acrobat/PDFOpenParameters.pdf

Come to think of it, my pdf files keep opening at random zooms.

Thanks for the new version. Do I have to uninstall the old version and will my old licence work on the new version?

Your current license and authcode will still work, if you purchased or upgraded the software within the last 12 months.

Just install the new version over the old one, the "Reinstall" choice.

We posted a new version, Version IB24p, which will allow you to set the initial zoom.

Use the the Options/Documents dialog and check "Set Initial Zoom Factor" to try this out.
